Who I Am

As a child I wanted

To Dance

But I had no chance

To sing but I had too much fear and lost my voice

They made me and stole my choice

To play sports but I had no skill

So I learned instead to cook first on the grill

I learned at an early age to

Change the things I can and find the bright within the blue

Accept the things I cannot they tried to push me down but I fought

I tell you now, take me as I am

A beautiful mess with a tad of sparkle and jam
