Once Upon a Time

1.png upon a time, we believed that right was right, and wrong was wrong. We believed that the Princess always got her Prince, and the Prince would always save the day. We believed in Majick and the wonders of the universe.

Somewhere, somehow, we all stopped believing. And then the Faeries died. I have been wondering a lot lately when it was that I stopped believing in the wonder and magic of the universe, and instead started to force my brain to look at how things work scientifically.

At some point, someone said “that’s not possible, the universe doesn’t work that way.” and instead of believing my heart, I began to believe the science.

There was a time, I believed humans were capable of anything, there was a time I could look at someone and believe that they had goodness inside of them. Instead, now I see a battle raging between light and dark, Good and Evil, Satan and God.

It doesn’t matter what word or title you put to it, there is definitely a battle between good and evil happening on our planet, and I’m not entirely sure who is winning.

Instead of Angels and Demons, we elect people to protect us, to defend us, to speak up for those of us who cannot speak for themselves, on one side you have the few and far between who actually do what they were elected to do, and on the other, you have those fighting to retain control of whatever little power they have been given.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Those words, written down hundreds of years ago were written by an American, for the American people, and yet they inspire the entire world. “We The People.”

We the people are far more powerful than any elected individual. We the people are more powerful when we work together to create change and push our own evolution.

We the people are fucking up.

We have Priests telling children that they will go to hell for being sexually abused, we have elected officials (PM Justin Trudeau) telling us that he doesn’t think child sexual abuse is an issue that demands his attention. We the people have elected a bunch of pansy twats, that have no idea what it’s like to live down in the slums.

We the people have elected highly educated morons, who have no clue what it’s like to wonder where your next meal is coming from, or what is like to have a police officer tell you to “Stay home” when your ex-boyfriend, who is highly connected to Hells Angels and convicted murderers, decides to come after you.

We the people have elected men and women who do not have to worry about whether or not they are dying because our doctors care more about the government supplement they get for seeing as many patients as possible in a single day, then they do about providing proper medical care.

We the people have elected men and women who don’t know what it feels like to know your baby is sick and there is nothing you can do to help that child. All you can do is stare at that tiny incubator and wait.

Once upon a time, our ancestors founded countries on the idea that We The People were equal. Somehow, someway that balance shifted. Not only do we allow these men and women to decide what we can and cannot have, we allow them to slowly take away our privacy, our medical, our lives and then we pay them for it.

I’m not entirely sure that is what our Ancestors had in mind when they separated from England, in fact, I’m certain that they wanted the exact opposite.

It is time that We The People, together, as a united front stand up to our governments, to our elected officials, to our police officers and remind them that WE put them in these jobs. WE made it possible for them to have the lives they have, that they each, every single one of them, has a responsibility to us, the people of the world.

Once upon a time, countries were formed with the idea that every person be fed, housed, loved and protected, and we the people, rather than doing the job ourselves, gave up control to those who have a history of making empty promises.

I would much rather hire a janitor who no education, but a genuine will to make my country a better place than I would a college graduate who just wants a fat paycheck.

It’s time, for us to start making phone calls. Start fighting against governments who refuse to listen to us. It is time, for each and every one of us to believe in the power of Majick again, to see the world as it could be, to show it what it can be.

It is time that WE THE PEOPLE start talking to our neighbors, start having parties on the street.

Do you know in times of War, Warriors of Rome would often celebrate before a big battle, they would party and celebrate to show the enemy they were not afraid.

We’ve been so damn stuck to our computers, televisions and apps that we forgot how to connect to each other. We allowed the art of distraction, to seperate us from each other, because the more distracted we are, the less we connect, the less we talk. If we stop talking, then we stop fighting.

Yes, I truly believe there is a battle happening between light and dark, and humans are being used as weapons against each other.

Whether or not you believe in shadow governments or aliens, believe this: We elected those men and women, and WE Can remove them from office, but only if we work together.

It’s time, that We The People, take our power back.
